Pan

Roman name: Faunus

God of fertility and unbridled sexuality

Pan was depicted as a satyr, with a wrinkled face and prominent chin, horns and a hairy body.  He chased nymphs through the forests in the shape of a goat.

He was a shepherd and played a pipe when he rested at noon.  He was one of Dionysus’ retinue, and is sometimes confused with Dionysus/ Bacchus.
